P-47 Thunderbolts of the 509th Fighter Squadron, 405th Fighter Group, pass low over paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division advancing through heavy snow during the Battle of the Bulge, January 1945. Major Robert ‘Blackie’ Blackburn, in his distinctive aircraft ‘Chow Hound’, leads his unit as they head out on a morning low-level bombing mission.

This magnificent new piece from artistic maestro Anthony Saunders, has been personally signed by Pilots and Paratroopers who took part in this story of grim determination at the Battle of the Bulge. We are proud that each edition will help in remembering the selfless heroism of those who fought in one of the bloodiest encounters of World War II.

He flew P-47s on low level bombing missions with the 365th Fighter Group during the Battle of the Bulge.

Colonel HERBERT L. PREVOST DFC
Flying P-47s with the 365th Fighter Group he served in Normandy and throughout the Battle of the Bulge

Captain DEAN McCANDLESS
He made four combat jumps with the 505th PIR, 82nd Airborne including D-Day and Operation Market Garden before fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.

Staff Sergeant LEO A. DUMOUCHELLE
Serving with the 82nd Airborne Division he jumped into Sicily, Salerno, D-Day and Holland before fighting during the Battle of the Bulge.

Private 1st Class ARTHUR ‘ART’ PETERSEN
After jumping on D-Day and Operation Market Garden, he later fought in the Bulge with Fox Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne.

Captain WAYNE COLEMAN
He flew P-47s from Duxford with the 78th Fighter Group across Normandy and the Ardennes, scoring four victories, including three Fw190s in a day and an Me262 jet.

Private 1st Class SALVADOR ‘SAL’ PEREZ
After jumping on D-Day with Service Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne he also fought during Operation Market Garden and at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.
