ANNOUNCING THE LATEST RELEASE IN THE DAMBUSTERS 70th ANNIVERSARY SERIES
Guy Gibson leads the first wave of 617 Squadron’s Lancaster bombers towards the German border and on to the Mohne dam. After crossing the coast a fraction off course, Gibson adjusts his compass heading slightly and, as the unmistakable thunder of 12 cylinder Merlin engines at full throttle shatters the night, follows the course of a large canal where the owner of an ancient windmill, hearing the noise, hurries outside to witness the event.
The edition carries the original signatures of prominent Pilots and Aircrew that took part in this legendary mission, providing aviation enthusiasts with a stunning collector piece to commemorate the historic 70th Anniversary of the Dambuster Raid.
THE SIGNATURES
Every print has been personally signed by two aircrew veterans who took part in Operation Chastise. Each print is individually signed by artist Richard Taylor, and hand-numbered:

The Captain and Pilot of Lancaster AJ-W which was assigned to attack the Sorpe Dam.
Squadron Leader GEORGE ‘JOHNNY’ JOHNSON DFM
The Bomb Aimer with Joe McCarthy’s crew in Lancaster AJ-T that attacked the Sorpe Dam.
THE REMARQUE EDITIONS
TAKING REMARQUES TO A NEW LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE – Richard Taylor will create an original pencil drawing with highlights similar in content to the example shown
Few artists of today possess Richard Taylor’s breathtaking skills with a pencil but now, for the two Remarque Editions issued in this release, the artist has lifted the bar even further.
Richard has without doubt taken the art of graphite creation to an entirely new level by introducing subtle coloured highlights into his pencil work for the very first time. Collectors now have a wonderful opportunity to be amongst the first to acquire one of these remarkable ‘colour’ remarques in this historic Dambuster edition.
On the first edition, consisting of 25 copies
The second edition, restricted to only TEN COPIES will be issued with a DOUBLE SIZE drawing. Overflowing with detail and content, each drawing will measure approximately 10” in width and each will have a unique Dambuster theme but if you should have a special request, please enquire when placing your order. THE TRIBUTE EDITION
The six signature Tribute Edition is issued with a stunning ORIGINAL pencil drawing created by Richard Taylor especially to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Dambuster Raid.
Individually created in pencil on ‘sepia’ tinted paper, with coloured highlights skilfully blended into the graphite, every one of these ten superbly crafted drawings is a unique original work, and each is individually conservation matted to include the original pencil signatures of four further Dambuster veterans. Together with the matching numbered main print, this historic collection of six signatures provides a very special piece for all collectors enthralled by the legend of the Dambusters:
